Christine and Mike | Wilmington, Ma Photographer

I had the pleasure of taking the engagement photos for one of my closest friends. It was so wonderful to be able to capture the love and friendship of these two great people. Congratulations to you both. Remember days like these...

Here are some photos of the very pretty Ashley from this past September. We had a great time at this session and as you can see, She was a natural in front of the camera.

My idea of quiet | Wilmington, Ma Photographer

This weekend we were away at our cottage. Everyone was still sleeping so I took my coffee to the end of the dock to sit and enjoy the quiet. At first I was using my phone to shoot this scene, then the coffee actually kicked in and the brain got a jump-start, so I ran back up to the camp and grabbed my camera to catch this shot for real...

Of course, as I was playing around and testing settings, some fisherman on a bass boat had to come over and invade my space... so my quiet morning was then ruined by a bass boat who zoomed over to hurry up and fish right in front of my dock. They are always in such a hurry to get where they are going, then they sit right in my view for hours..... I really wanted to strangle him or throw a rock at him, he was close enough, I probably could have hit him, lol. I guess I really shouldn't complain, we could be on a lake with much more boat traffic, but for the most part we may see a dozen boats the whole weekend.

I have a few photo sessions coming up, so please keep checking back, this blog should be a pretty busy place over the next few weeks. And I hope to keep throwing in the non-people posts too, just to keep it diverse.

Stormy Lake | Wilmington, Ma Photographer

We were away for the weekend at our cottage in Maine last weekend. There was a thunderstorm coming in, and the clouds looked amazing.

I have been admiring the look of HDR photography for awhile, but it is a process and some of it can go a little bit over the top. (If you have a chance Google it, check it out, there is some cool stuff out there)

So anyway, I decided to give it a try with this photo... It may not be completely over the top HDR, but I like my photos to still look like photos

Boston Common | Wilmington, Ma Photographer

A few weeks ago, my husband, my daughter and I spent the afternoon at Boston Common. Considering the fact that I have lived 15 minutes north of Boston for my entire life, and have visited Boston on many, many occasions, you would be surprised to know that this is only the second time I have actually walked around the Common.

We had a great afternoon and I took a ton of pictures. You will get to see quite a few in the days and weeks to follow, I promise. But for some reason this is my favorite. Something about this calls to me. Let me know what you think...

Catrina's Garden | Wilmington, Ma Photographer

Even though I don't get calls like this often, I couldn't pass this up. I love gardens, and flowers. I was expecting some beautiful gardens, but nothing extraordinary. Little did I know what I was walking into.

These gardens belong in a magazine. I could have spent days exploring. I only wish that the unseasonably warm weather and the thunderstorms we had had the previous week hadn't made the flowers bloom early and then shredded some of the earlier bloomers before I was able to see and photograph them.

This was still one of my favorite sessions and I can't wait to go back later this season to get the late summer blooms.
